I stopped somewhere after Lettuce Couple joined the show (actually I quite liked them, but I just got tired of the show in general), and I liked pretty much all the original couples.
Hi all, it’s been quite some time since I last posted, and so I thought I’d bring you something a little different. This is the 25 June episode of Star King (aka Ep 221), in which M4 are guests.
The part of interest is when Won Joon asks about the possibility of marriage being in the cards for him.
This is a translation of the interesting part. Translated from the Chinese subs found here. Parts that are more interesting to Brave Couple fans I’ve bolded :)
<Fortune Teller’s (I can’t read her name so I’ll just call her that) Love Enquiry>
Fortune Teller (FT): Yong Se ahjussi is, dandelions.
YS: Thank you.
FT: Won Jun oppa is, roses.
WJ: Thank you.
FT: Hee Jun oppa is, violets.
HJ: Why am I violets? Why?
Ho Dong (HD): Now everyone who’s received…
HD: Can all be considered ‘old youth’
Ki Sung (KS): What about me?
KS: Don’t I even have the right to receive flowers?!

WJ: Aren’t roses supposed to be for girls? Why give them to me?
FT: Oppa, how many roses are there?
WJ: Isn’t it just one?
FT: That rose is you.
HD: What? What does that mean?
WJ: This is me?
KS: Then what are the baby breaths?
FT: The surrounding baby breaths signify the women around oppa.
KS: That’s completely accurate!
HD: Ki Sung –ssi is a friend so he’ll know very well.
HD: If Won Jun is the rose, the surrounding baby breaths can signify women?
KS: Every single one of them is a woman. Every one. Every one.
HD: And the violets given to Hee Jun signify?
HD: Kim Won Jun-ssi come and ask personally.
WJ: Like that?
HD: Whether your virtual marriage can become a real one.
WJ: As you know, I just started my virtual married life. Around when can I marry for real?
FT: I think now’s not the time.
WJ: You’re talking about now?
WJ: Wait (let me ask first). I’m a little nervous.
WJ: If now is not the time. That…
?: Why don’t you be more straightforward with your questions? Any chance to marry Park So Hyun?
FT: Compared to the possibility of marrying now, he’s definitely compatible with Park So Hyun.
FT: You can tell they have the couple look.
FT: Taking Won Jun oppa as a rose, So Hyun nuna is the person who can remove his thorns one by one.
FT: Even though there’s a chance to take things further, now is not the time (for marriage).
WJ: Not time yet…Eh? Money? I must earn money?
FT: Ehm, time to grab money.

FT: You have luck in the area of money now.
WJ: Then I can earn money and marry at the same time, isn’t it?
FT: No. No. It’ll fly away.
WJ: I won’t be able to get money.
KS: That’s right. M4’s contract already states that Kim Won Jun can’t get married.
WJ: Can’t fall in love.
KS: Because we’ll lose fans.
FT: That’s right.
WJ: Are you two in this together?
HD: Is there any clause regarding Bae Ki Sung-ssi?
KS: I’m not allowed to lose weight. I can’t lose weight and I can’t shave my beard.
WJ: We (M4) have 3 single men. I should be the first to get married right?
FT: All about the same…

I remember reading somewhere that someone thought that idols we ship are only doing things for fan service. And I respect that person’s opinion, but I’ve been meaning to make a post about We Got Married….. and I just felt like after reading that person’s opinion, that it was relevant for me to…
I agree with this post. I’m sure that there are a lot of times when situations are manufactured, and yea maybe all the cute moments too. But I’ve ever been in a situation where I had to pretend to be living a life I wasn’t, and being with someone I had no interest in for a week. It was some huge roleplay kind of game.
And, you’d be amazed at how many of us had trouble getting ourselves out of it. Though we knew it wasn’t real, and we aren’t young or anything, we still got emotionally invested. It took some time to really separate ourselves from the other people involved.
“Acting” like a couple for so long, in the case of WGM, even if it’s only once every two weeks, it’s very hard not to have feelings for the other person I reckon.
And that’s right. It’s what happens after the “separation” that counts. Here’s hoping for the best for our ships then! :)
Past few episodes have been beyond sweet for me. Even though there’s less of the typical squee-able moments, there’s something very serious underlying their relationship, and a level of comfort between them that I appreciate.
When Won Joon talked about clothes in Episode 9, I suppose it’s a nice metaphor to run with and describe the both of them. The relationship of a couple who have been friends for so long - Like a favourite shirt you want to wear all the time, comfortably worn/lived in, that clings nicely to you…
Something like that :P
But what I loved above all, is that the Won Joon who seemed so much more like a man-boy (and pretty idiot :P) the past episodes, has really stepped up so much. Looking at him choosing houses and talking to So Hyun…There’s something incredibly manly about him. Something assured.
Take my favourite part of Episode 9, where he tells So Hyun to look at him, worries over how she’s laughing, stares straight at her, and asks her if she really wants the place. When she says yes, he whispers, “Alright.” Followed by how he tells her, “This is where we’re going to start our new life together? Got it?”
His serious demeanour, mixed with the touch of gentleness in his voice, really makes me feel like this couple could be for real. And really, she can trust him to take care of her.
Like PHSsoultree said on Soompi, “they always have this peaceful & at ease look on their faces”. I believe that captures their relationship in a nutshell.
Actually just a convenient excuse for skinship ;)
Actually this part looks like he just grabs her hands…and walks right into her arms.
Because lying your head on his chest makes pushing him away easier? Or it could, you know, mean a closer hug ;)
No really, if he wasn’t enjoying this his arm wouldn’t be so firmly placed on her back would it?
That’s right I-bu, I’m master of the rice cooker.
Where I obsessively try to chronicle all the times our couple touch. Not counting the moments I want to make into gifs.
I’m sure I’m not the first person who has done this!
So anyway, episode 10 :)
Classic So Hyun. When she’s totally lost for words she just leans on him (as we know).
Adding this in for no other reason that they look really sweet looking at pictures together.
The way he effortlessly places a hand on her shoulder as he glides across her.
A+ arm-grabbing skills.
Coming closer to be fed.
Now effectively a no-hands couple.
This one was hard to capture because it was only for a split second. But I like how such moments are unwittingly captured by the camera. You never know when they will suddenly join hands or loosen them again. When they will touch and separate again. Everything is effortless, like second nature.
Not their first back hug (remember Cebu? :P). Which is probably this hug looks so natural.
